D. PHARMACY
D. Pharmacy (Diploma in Pharmacy) course is a foundational program that provides students with knowledge and skills related to pharmaceutical sciences.
1. COURSE OVERVIEW:
The D. Pharmacy Program is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University Bhilai, it is two years program. The D. Pharmacy program follows a yearly pattern. This program uniquely offers an interdisciplinary field of study for practicing pharmacy profession in India as community pharmacists, hospital pharmacists, or clinical pharmacists. The students who complete the D. Pharm program are eligible to pursue a bachelor’s program (B. Pharm.). Our students will be able to maintain leadership positions in academia, industry, and government.
2. DURATION OF CURRICULUM:
- D. Pharmacy is typically a 2-year diploma program.
- The curriculum includes subjects like pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, and clinical pharmacy.
3. ELIGIBILITY:
- Students who have completed their 10+2 education with science stream (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics) are eligible for this course.
- Physics (essential subject)
- Chemistry (essential subject)
- Biology/ Mathematics/ Biotechnology (any one of these)
4. ADMISSION:
- Admissions are based on the guidelines of the university and are done in two modes:
- Through the entrance test conducted by the Govt. of Chhattisgarh (CG-PPHT).
- Directly on vacant seat or through management quota based on merit in 10+2 examination.
5. APPROVAL:
- D. Pharm. course at Career College of Pharmacy is approved from various governing bodies.
- PCI (Pharmacy Council of India) approved.
- CSVTU (Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai) affiliated.
6. SCOPE & OPPORTUNITIES:
- D. Pharmacy graduates can work as pharmacists in pharmacies and hospitals.
- They can also find opportunities in pharmaceutical companies, drug control administrations, research agencies, and educational institutions.
- Some graduates choose to open their own retail pharmacies.
